integrative and regenerative services Hurst, TX
If you are experiencing pain, we want to help! We are dedicated to helping patients regain pain-free lives. Oftentimes, people do not seek help for pain until it worsens. We want to help at the onset of symptoms, so they do not progress.

IV Nutrition

At Back in Motion Integrated Medicine, we are pleased to offer IV therapies to our patients. We offer a wide range of treatments, from simple hydration to more customized therapies, including unique combinations of vitamins and minerals. We tailor each IV therapy session to the individual, depending on their needs and existing conditions.

The primary benefit of IV therapy is that it delivers the needed products directly to the bloodstream. Rather than waiting for nutrients to be absorbed through the digestive system, our patients can quickly receive them where the body will actually utilize them. Most therapies take between 15 and 30 minutes to administer, and we even have some patients come in on their lunch breaks!

IV therapy can help with a wide range of concerns from weight loss to anti-aging and may ease the following symptoms and more:

  • Common skin problems, such as dull skin and acne
  • Dehydration
  • Stress
  • Muscle soreness or fatigue
  • Common cold
  • Low energy and fatigue
  • Excess weight

Some of our patients receive regular IV therapy on a weekly or bi-weekly basis, while others come in only as needed. Our doctor will be able to cover the available options and create a custom treatment plan for each patient, depending on their specific desires, needs, and schedules.

If you have questions about IV therapy or would like to schedule an appointment, please call our office at (817) 485-2400 today!

This procedure is safe and the risk of possible complications is very low. You may experience soreness or numbness at the injection site for a temporary period of time. While you should avoid strenuous activity for a few days, you should be able to actively use your muscles immediately following treatment.

Medical Physical Exam

Here at Back in Motion Integrated Medicine, we recommend annual physical exams to ensure that your body is in optimal health and working as it should. This exam offers a great opportunity to discuss any concerns you may be experiencing, and allows your doctor to check for any emerging issues so they can be addressed quickly.

Physical exams are also often needed when applying for jobs, for insurance policies, to participate in team sports, and when travelling outside of the country. Your doctor will provide a comprehensive examination, order any necessary tests, and answer any questions you may have about your care. If you are in need of vaccinations, those can be taken care of at this time.

We ask that you bring a list of your current medications and supplements to your appointment so that we can make sure your record is up-to-date. If you have seen other doctors or specialists since your last examination, be sure to bring along the records from those visits as well.

Activator Method Hurst, TX

Activator Method

The Activator is the most widely used chiropractic instrument. Studies show improvement with the Activator Method. It also has been compared to other techniques and proven to be just as effective. This means that for many patients an Activator adjustment could very well lead to the same outcome as a manual adjustment. This offers chiropractors and patients an alternative to manual adjusting when it is preferred for clinical reasons.

Chiropractic Adjustments Hurst, TX

Chiropractic Adjustments

A chiropractic adjustment can make you feel so much better. Your body does not want to be out of alignment, and that’s exactly what an adjustment can help address. It is also known as chiropractic manipulation, manual manipulation, or spinal manipulation. The adjustment refers to the manipulation of the vertebrae that have abnormal movements and are not functioning properly. A chiropractic adjustment will assist in fixing these issues.

The goal of chiropractic treatment is to reduce the subluxation, increase the range of motion, reduce nerve irritability, and improve mobility. Our compassionate and qualified chiropractor will work with you to relieve this pain and get you back to being pain free every single day.

A chiropractic adjustment involves high velocity thrusts applied to the vertebra, relieving sensation, discomfort, and spasms in the surrounding muscles. It also releases joint cavitation, which is caused by the release of oxygen, nitrogen, and carbon dioxide.

Although many people visit their chiropractor and have an adjustment when something feels out of alignment, a regular visit will help you avoid any pain in the future and will keep your body feeling great all day long.

If you are having one of those days when you are not in the best mood, an adjustment may actually help. Your body will feel much better, which will naturally improve your mood.

corrective exercises Hurst, TX

Corrective Exercises

Corrective exercises are the use of bodily movements and/or postures to restore desirable changes in diseased or injured tissues. The corrective exercises are movement strategies that minimize or eliminate compensation. Corrective exercises should precede more integrated exercises, because they can cue the patient’s motor system to respond in a more desirable way and assist in removing or improving biomechanical constraints.

Diversified Technique Hurst, TX

Diversified Technique

The goal of the Diversified Technique is to reduce nerve interference. There are no special or unique procedures needed. Patients are assessed using these various mechanisms: history and basic examination (orthopedic and neurologic), palpation, x-ray, leg checks and reflex procedures as well as others.

The procedure involves analyzing the full spine and extremities. The majority of adjustments used in Diversified are manual adjustments, HVLA (high velocity, low amplitude), or long lever manipulations aimed at cavitating the joint and creating an audible release. This sound is known by patients as the “popping” or “cracking” sound associated with adjustments. Some chiropractors utilize specialized equipment such as drop tables or pelvic blocks.

Functional Medicine Hurst, TX

Functional Medicine

Functional medicine is a personalized and integrative approach to healthcare which involves understanding the prevention, management, and root causes of complex chronic disease. It has evolved integrative, holistic, conventional and naturopathic models to offer the most comprehensive and effective approach to healthcare in the 21st century.

Functional medicine focuses on the most current scientific research regarding how your genetics, environment and lifestyle interact in order to diagnose and treat conditions. The goal is to shift from treating the disease (disease-centered) to treating the person who has the disease (patient-centered). Functional medicine addresses the whole person and not just an isolated list of symptoms. Symptom suppression is only used as a temporary fix while seeking the root cause of the symptoms ensures optimal health for the patient. Here at Back in Motion Integrated Medicine, we spend time with our patients, listen to their health history, and examine the interactions between genetic, environmental, and lifestyle factors. These factors contribute to long term health issues and complex, chronic diseases. In this way, functional medicine supports the unique expression of health and vitality for each individual.

Spinal Decompression Hurst, TX

Spinal Decompression

Spinal decompression is a non-invasive mechanical procedure performed within our office to help alleviate back pain. It involves gently stretching the spine to take pressure off the spinal discs (the cushions that separate the vertebrae in the spine). By relieving this pressure, bulging discs can retract back into place which takes pressure off the nerves in the spine. By decompressing the spine, it permits water, oxygen and other fluids to work their way back into the discs allowing them to heal naturally. Spinal decompression is an excellent option for anyone with chronic back pain who wants to get back to living a pain-free life as quickly as possible.

X-Rays Hurst, TX

X-Rays

One of the most important elements of chiropractic care is diagnostics. Chiropractic radiology is a tool utilized in care as a diagnostic practice to rule out pathology (such as possible tumor or fracture) and/or an additional aid to determine where to adjust the spine. Chiropractors rely on a variety of diagnostic techniques in order to fully understand what is occurring in the patient’s musculoskeletal system, and how a given treatment intervention could bring about positive results in each patient.
